Congratulations, Scott, that is excellent news. Many thanks to all who made this happen!! Where is the new department announcement, I'd love to read it. The only thing I saw was the announcement that Aviation would be its own division.

A heartfelt "thank you" letter has been sent to Secretary Joe Flynn from a number of aviators, aviation enthusiasts, HangarOwnersOfVermont (HOOVERs), VermontAviators.org / VermontAviation.com members, VAAC members, and plain ole' Vermont-based pilots. It is a marvelous cross section of interested stakeholders! In the letter, there's also an (obvious) suggestion for how to structure the organization so Evan Robinson and Mike Sturges can  be most effective in their new roles at VTrans. Merry Christmas, and thanks to all who took the time to read, comment and endorse this letter.

This letter to Secretary Flynn, written by one of our members recently, is intended to do two things:
  1. Support his recent actions that acknowledge change is needed at VTrans,
  2. Offer a recommendation for the new "org chart" for this department.
